"Well another completely wonderful festival! We and our families had such an amazing time. Can't wait for next year. Thank you for organising such a terrific weekend of fantastic music. See you next year"
"great weekend-really enjoyed it-well done-Demon Barbers, Colvin Quarmby, John Tams, Faustus, oysterband particularly good-stewards, facilities, buses really good"
"Thanks for the booking for your festival - Maggie, Dave and the band all really enjoyed themselves and thought the whole thing was really well run and had a great vibe. I hope you were equally happy with things after all your hard work. "
"Thanks again for putting us up over the Festival
weekend. As you probably gathered, we had a really good time. Hope the
Sunday night went well. Sat. night in Marquee 1 was particularly good,
with the Woodshed Band, the Whiles and John Tams. I enjoyed the
Oysterband more than the last time I saw them, though I have to
confess to being somewhat bemused by their star status (as emphasised
by the vocalist wearing shades at midnight). I keep thinking maybe
they heard the Levellers about fifteen
years ago and thought, 'hang on' ... Anyway, on the Sunday we watched the
Woodshed Band again because they were so good, and Les Barker was very
funny, even if his poetry is pure doggerel. But then, who am I to
talk? Beckleberry were a revelation too; they're still young, but I hope
they stay together.
Anyway, the Festival proved more enjoyable than the World Cup Final when we got back, by some distance as it turned out. I just wanted to say as well that it's incredibly well organised. It's the only event of its type I've ever been to where people always arrive on stage at the time they're supposed to. Please pass on my thanks to all the organisers (and take a bow ... or even a curtsy)."
