Camping
Campsite Arrangements
Due to limited space on site, Weekend ticket holders are again the only ticket holders who will be
allowed to camp on site and the camping charge has been held at last year’s
rate of £8 per person. Camping will need to be booked at the time of
purchasing the Weekend ticket
However, we will be asking you to indicate when you book (on-line, postal and telephone bookings) whether you will be bringing a small tent (1-3 person), large tent (4-6 person) or caravan (up to 8 metres long including A-frame). This will ensure that we know how many caravans and tents are coming. If you have a larger caravan or motor-home we ask that you contact us so we can allocate a large enough space for you.
I’m bringing a caravan/campervan
Note: we have sold out of caravan and campervan tickets.
Unfortunately we have to limit the number of caravans and campervans we allow on site. Space will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis – when booking your tickets, not when arriving on site. If you arrive on site without a caravan / campervan pass we will not be able to accommodate you on site and you will be directed to a local campsite.
When you receive your ticket confirmation you will also receive a numbered pass. The number you have will affect where you are placed. Caravan / campervan pass numbers 1 - 45 will be allocated a space on Campsite 1 and numbers 46 - 100 on Campsite 2. Stewards at the festival main gate will be checking your passes on arrival and directing you to the right area. You will not be allocated a specific numbered space within your campsite area and will be able to save a space for a friend provided you are both in the same grouping i.e. both holding caravan pass numbers for the same campsite.
The two areas allocated for caravans will be around the perimeter of Campsite 1 and around the top part of Campsite 2 on the photo here. A mark will be shown on the ground where your tow-bar (or front of campervan) is to be placed and your car is to be parked on the left hand side beside your caravan (caravan club style). These spaces will be at 8 metre intervals. Small awnings will be allowed provided you can fit it into your ‘space’. Your laminated pass must be clearly attached to your caravan or campervan throughout the festival.
I’m bringing a tent
You will be asked to let us know when you book how many and what size tent(s) you are bringing as space is limited on site. Trailer tents will be counted and accommodated in the tent area on Campsite 1. Tents are only allowed on Campsite 1.
On arrival on site you will be asked for your tent pass and directed to the main festival area. You will be asked to stop off at the Box Office to collect your wristbands before proceeding onto the main festival campsite. There you will be asked to unload your tent and move your car to a parking space away from the camping area (but still on the main festival site). Tents must be spaced 3m apart. This is a fire regulation and ensures that we accommodate as many tents as possible. Your laminated pass must be clearly attached to your tent throughout the festival.
What if we can’t get in?
Anyone unable to get a caravan or tent space when booking can contact one of the local campsites to book there. Further information is available here
I'm disabled, what arrangements are there for me?
If you are registered disabled and require either caravan or tent space on Campsite 1 close to the main arena you must ask us when booking. We have a few reserved caravan spaces, we can arrange for tent space to be reserved close to the main festival area if notified in advance, and have on site parking for people with disabilities. Please ensure you bring your blue badge with you so that our Stewards will allow your vehicle access on site. If you are not a blue badge holder and are a day visitor you will be asked to park in the day visitors car park and use the shuttle bus to bring you to the site.
Any queries about camping or parking before the festival please contact Trish Reed, Site Manager, at site@elyfolk.co.uk or ring 07979 868676
